I. Choice of network
For China Unicom’s international roaming users, you can choose the local network when you arrive in the foreign country by the following means:
Automatic network selection
It is unnecessary for you to make any arrangement of your CDMA mobile phone, UIM card in your CDMA mobile phone will automatically research available network and choose the best one for you.
Attention: to realize correct automatic network selection, users need to download latest PRL list in UIM card. Refer to service instruction for detailed operation.
Manual network selection
CDMA mobile phone now does not support manual network selection.
II. Dial-up method of CDMA international roaming

2．Special instruction of international access code
Because CDMA network does not support “+” replace international access code (different from GSM network), users should use correct international access code when dialing international long-distance number in roaming network. Different countries or regions have different international access codes, such as China 00, America 011, so users must make clear the local international access code of the visited country in advance. International access codes of various roaming networks are kept in various operators’ materials listed in “passable coutries and regions”.
3．Instruction of fixed telephone long-distance area code
When you dial a fixed telephone of China in international roaming, please do not add “0” before the area code.

III. Usage method of CDMA international roaming short message service
Please refer to the program of short message service.
China Unicom has now not provided international roaming service for CDMA prepayment users.
