“U-Magic” is the game and application software in UniJa and BREW technical platform presented by China Unicom based on the powerful CDMA network. U-Magic is convenient to use without any setup.

 

U-Magic service is composed of off-line service and on-line service. Off-line service users, upon download and storing of “U-Magic” off-line application (such as off-line games) provided by content supplier in the mobile phone, can independently operate this procedure in the mobile phone unnecessary for network support. The procedure will always be stored in the terminal except users cancel the procedure from the terminal, for example, Chuda D, Black White Chess, Prince of Persia, Chinese Chess and Bowling Game, etc.

 

On-line service users, upon download and storing of “U-Magic” on-line application (such as on-line games and recreation) provided by content supplier in the mobile phone, can independently operate this procedure in the mobile phone under the support of network. The procedure will always be stored in the terminal except users cancel the procedure from the terminal, for example, magic stock version (on-line net working is needed for real-time market information of stock, so it is called on-line service) and mobile QQ, etc.

It is divided into communication fee, information fee and patent royalty.

Communication fee: charged based on actual flow, basic charge standard: 0.01 Yuan/KB

Information fee: it is fixed by SP/ CP and implemented upon approval of Unicom, with the form including by times, by length, by month package, by length package and service life (for example, five stones game application, five Yuan for one month, ten Yuan for three month) and so on. The price is presented in the download menu.

BREW patent royalty: temporarily free

It is unnecessary for application /open. You can directly use “U-Magic” service provided that you apply CDMA 1X mobile phone with BREW function (support “U-Magic” service) and open 1X data service. So far, all UIM cards have opened 1X data service in advance, and you can directly use “U-Magic” service.

 

UniJa “U-Magic” is a kind of service which shall be applied for open by users by short message registration method.
Entering “U-Magic” by any means, when users use it for the first time or use it upon replacing with UIM card, it will appear a prompt: “UIM card is replaced. Whether update registration information?” Choose “Yes”: the mobile phone will automatically execute registration flow through sending a short message; there will be prompt “the short message is sending”, “the short message is successfully sent”; press “Enter” and enter the main interface of “U-Magic”. When receiving the short message for registration, the network server will update the corresponding list of IMSI and users’ mobile phone number in UIM card to complete registration of users, and then the server will inform the user of successful registration by a short message, “thank you for choosing China Unicom UniJa service. Your information has been successfully updated! This message is free. From 9992, recall 9992”. Choose “No”: it will directly enter the main interface of “U-Magic”. The user can make registration in the menu of the main interface of “U-Magic” at any time in future.

 

Users can enter U-Magic through mobile phone menu. Press the application icon and the service can be used.

Choose the application procedure which is necessary for operation in the main interface of “U-Magic” and press “Enter” key; or directly input the corresponding shortcut serial No and this application will start or display relevant operating startup menu.
