U-Map service is divided into two kinds: one is the positioning service (especially support the positioning service based on terminal for users of mobile phones which support gpsOne positioning) and the other is ordinary position information service (provide ordinary services closely related to position information for all CDMA users).

 

 Service Functions  

U-Map is a high precise positioning service provided by China Unicom CDMA 1X for public through adopting advanced gpsOne positioning technology, which integrates GPS positioning function to CDMA terminal and positions the terminal based on the assistant information provided by CDMA 1X network. The technology is characterized with short time for positioning, high positioning technology and precision, wide applicable scope and obvious terminal advantages. Meanwhile, high speed data channel of CDMA 1X makes position service more colorful, easily realizing high speed map download and various multimedia information services concerning position service. Moreover, U-Map supports domestic roaming service and the system can provide users continuously with trans-regional service.

 

It is unnecessary for users to apply /open. As industrial users, please contact the local business hall, and we will arrange professional customer manager to each industrial user to service you better. 

 

U-Map is supported by means of WAP, BREW/ UniJa and SMS. Different mobile phone terminal users can adopt different means to apply U-Map service.  

1.         WAP users can directly visit U-Map: unnecessary for setting, provided that you use the CDMA 1X mobile phone with WAP function (support “Interactive WAP” service) and have opened 1X data service, you are only required to press “Xuan Key” or enter China Unicom “U-Max” through mobile phone menu and choose to login “U-Map”.

2.         WAP users can visit “U-Map” through “Interactive WAP”: unnecessary for setting, provided that you use the CDMA 1X mobile phone with WAP function (support “Interactive WAP” service) and have opened 1X data service, you are only required to press “Xuan Key” or enter China Unicom “U-Max” through mobile phone menu and choose to login “Interactive WAP” and choose “U-Map”.

3.         Users can visit “U-Map” through “U-Magic” BREW: unnecessary for setting, provided that you use the CDMA 1X mobile phone with U-Magic function (support “U-Magic” service) and have opened 1X data service, you are only required to press “Xuan Key” or enter China Unicom “U-Max” through mobile phone menu and choose to login “U-Magic” and choose “U-Map”.

4.         Users can visit “U-Map” through “U-Magic” UniJa: unnecessary for setting, provided that you use the CDMA 1X mobile phone with UniJa function (support “U-Magic” service) and have opened 1X data service, you are only required to press “Xuan Key” or enter China Unicom “U-Max” through mobile phone menu and choose to login “U-Magic” and choose “U-Map”.
